The Schoeps Colette series is probably the most famous and long standing of the Schoeps microphone lineup. The Collete series is configured in two parts; the capsule and the amplifier tube. This configuration contains a single MK4 capsules and CMC6 microphone amplifier. MK 4 cardioid microphone capsule is the go-to microphone for opera and concert singers. In saying this it is also found home in studios and on stage for rock and pop artist who desire its natural, transparent character. The Colette MK4 is great on guitars and pianos. It can be used for great success on a variety of acoustic instruments from mandolin to harp.
