Audient Introduces Horizon: A New Standard for Professional Studio Connectivity
Audient has introduced Horizon, a new three-model range of professional Thunderbolt 3 audio interfaces designed for serious studio workflows, from high-end tracking and hybrid mixing through to large-format console and outboard integration.
The range includes the Horizon 8P, Horizon 16 and Horizon 32, with each model built around the same core platform: 32-bit / 192kHz conversion, 133dB dynamic range, 0.99ms round-trip latency, comprehensive monitoring and routing, digital expansion and scalable architecture.
Together, the range gives producers, engineers and studios a flexible way to build a system around the way they actually work — whether that means recording through premium mic preamps, keeping an outboard rack permanently connected, or integrating an entire console with the DAW.

Horizon 8P
The Horizon 8P is the tracking-focused model in the range, combining eight Audient console mic preamps with ORBIT, Audient’s new variable-impedance preamp technology, alongside 32-bit conversion and extensive analogue and digital connectivity.
With 24-in / 32-out connectivity, eight preamps offering 75dB of gain, eight channels of DB25 line I/O, dual ADAT and flexible monitoring and cue mixing, the 8P provides a complete professional tracking front end in a single rack space.
Horizon 16
The Horizon 16 is designed for the hybrid studio.
Its 16 channels of analogue line I/O over four DB25 connectors allow outboard processors, instruments and summing hardware to remain permanently connected, while dedicated stereo mix-bus inputs provide a clean path for printing the final mix back into the DAW.
With 34-in / 34-out total connectivity, the Horizon 16 is designed to make complex analogue and digital workflows feel much more straightforward.
Horizon 32
For larger studios and facilities, the Horizon 32 provides 32 channels of analogue line I/O across eight DB25 connectors, with 50-in / 50-out total connectivity.
Designed to bridge large-format consoles, extensive outboard systems and high-channel-count studio environments directly with the DAW, Horizon 32 brings the same conversion, low-latency performance and Horizon Control workflow to larger systems.
Horizon Control and Scalable Studio Architecture
Across the range, Horizon Control provides routing, monitoring, metering and system control from a single software environment.
Horizon systems can also scale as studio requirements grow, with up to four units able to operate on a single driver for systems of up to 200 x 200 I/O.
Audient describes Horizon as the foundation for a frictionless, scalable studio — bringing together analogue workflows, professional monitoring, high-performance conversion and Thunderbolt connectivity in one integrated platform.
Audient Horizon will be available in Australia from 29 September 2026 through authorised Audient dealers.
