Warm Audio have announced the release of two new guitars pedals, the Centavo and the Warmdrive. These pedals are faithful recreations of two highly sought after pedals, the renowned Klon Centaur and the Zendrive.
Centavo
The Klon Centaur is one of the most sought after, highly priced, guitar overdrive pedals ever to exist. So few were made that they fetch an astounding price on the second hand market. Don’t be surprised to see these sell for upward of $10,000. The Klon Centaur was designed by Bill Finnegan in 1994 but he withdrew it from sale in 2008. The rest is history. The pedal was designed to recreate the over driven sound of a guitar amp at high volumes. It did this so well that everyone wanted the pedal but Finnegan couldn’t keep up with demand.
The Warm Audio Centavo is an accurate recreation of this most sought-after overdrive pedal of the 90’s. Another classic sought after drive pedal is the Zendrive designed by Alfonso Hermida. The Zendrive was also produced in very limited numbers and has since become an Icon of the drive pedal genre and much like the Centaur, the Zendrive commands staggering prices on the second hand market.
